Visiting Merida entails an unforgettable encounter with its traditions, landscapes, food and, most of all, the kindness of its people, all of which will make for a most pleasant stay.
When travelling to Merida, it is important that you keep in mind the following:

Consult your travel agent about special offers and travel packages. This will help you plan your trip according to your budget.
  • If this is your first trip, look for information on guided tours and travel plans that will help you visit the most representative places in our State.
  • When visiting a place, ask for the assistance of a guide, who will tell you about its history and enrich your tour.
  • Wear comfortable clothes. Merida is warm most of the year, so light cotton garments and shorts are recommended.
  • Wearing sneakers is the best option for most tours.
  • Always carry sunscreen and hat
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. In case you get sunburn, seek medical assistance.
  • Always carry plenty of water and insect repellant.
  • Keep your camera at hand and capture the best moments of your trip.
  • Remember that Yucatecan traditional food is famous for its characteristic seasonings. Hence, be cautious if you are not familiar with this kind of condiments and ask your waiter for recommendations.
  • Wall voltage in Mexico is 127V-60 Hz. Check the voltage required for your appliances, or verify the electric power values here
